Sonny Mottahed

Sonny Mottahed is the CEO & Managing Partner of Black Spruce Merchant Capital.  Black Spruce is an Oil & Gas investment bank headquartered in Calgary, with a satellite office in Edmonton.  Sonny has 21 years of oil and gas professional experience in the Service, E&P and Investment Banking sectors of the industry and has worked in 20+ countries globally throughout his career. Prior to Black Spruce Sonny was the Managing Director of Investment Banking at Raymond James where he created the International O&G banking group and along with his team built it in the leading International O&G investment bank in Canada.  Over the past 8 years, Sonny and his team have helped raise $4 billion dollars of capital for 50 companies and have advised on 30 corporate m&a mandates.
