Sheri Meyerhoffer
Ms. Sheri Mayerhoffer, is Canada’s first ever Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise, a position established to enforce responsible conduct by Canadian companies operating abroad. This is the first position of its kind in the world. Since CGEF member companies are all about operating internationally, and since CGEF works closely with the Federal and Provincial government to facilitate international E&P, we have invited her to talk for a few minutes to tell us about this new position and its impact on international business.
Ms. Meyerhoffer was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and grew up in Claresholm, Alberta. She is a Canadian lawyer and global governance and diversity expert with experience in the private and international development sectors. Ms. Meyerhoffer worked in Canada’s upstream oil and gas industry for 17 years and has international experience in several countries, many of which are of interest to the E&P sector. She is also a recent graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School with a Master in Public Administration and Certificate in Management, Leadership and Decision Sciences.
