Ron Larson

Principal Advisor, Geoscience at RPS Group

Ron Larson’s first energy industry job was in 1978. He started his ‘real’ career at Dome Petroleum in 1983 and has spent about half of his career at E&P companies and half at service and consulting companies. His technical life has involved projects on all continents except Antarctica. His management life has seen him serve at a Vice President level in a private travel service company, a private seismic data processing company and, currently, as a regional vice president with the RPS Group, a publically traded international consultancy where he is responsible for a consulting practice that spans reservoir engineering, well engineering, production engineering, earth modeling and geophysics. Ron is a third generation Western Canada oil industry participant. He is a past-President of the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists and is a registered Professional Geoscientist in Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
