Kevin Matieshin

Senior Oil and Gas leader/consultant with broad experience in Engineering/Project Management, Operations, Business Development, and Health, Safety & Environment & Regulatory Affairs.   Born and raised in Manitoba, Kevin graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1977 with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation he commenced employment with Chevron Canada as a Production Engineer in Virden, Manitoba. He worked with Chevron until 1999 in a variety of technical & leadership positions in Reservoir Engineering, Joint Ventures, Field Operations, Marketing Development, Environment, Safety & Regulatory, and Personnel Development. From 2000 to 2005 he was in the positions of Vice President, Business & Project Development and Senior VP & COO with Central Alberta Midstream. He joined Pengrowth as a consultant in 2006 leading a SAGD oilsands project, and from 2007-2012 was Director, HSE & Technical Services. He is currently a consultant Project Manager with Pembina Pipelines.   Kevin has been married to Cathy for 35 years and they have three sons. Interests include traveling, cooking and wine collecting. He is an active volunteer in the community, having been Chair of the Board of the Telus World of Science(“Calgary Science Centre”) from 2002 -2006, Past-President of two Soccer Clubs, and twice on the board of Calgary Minor Soccer.
