Stephen Farner

Steve is a geoscientist with over 30 years of technical and managerial experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked petroleum exploration and development on four continents, specifically in Canada, United States, Europe, Australia and SE Asia. Since 2003, he has held positions of President and Vice President Exploration of successful international and domestic startup exploration companies based in Calgary. Prior to founding the startup, he spent 21 years, in positions of increasing responsibility with Superior Oil, Mobil Oil, and ExxonMobil Canada. He contributed to domestic and international exploration with Mobil Oil, Gulf of Mexico exploration with Superior Oil and various exploration and development assignments within ExxonMobil. Mr. Farner has his own consulting practice specializing in International and Domestic exploration. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geophysics from Michigan State University.
