Hugh Sanderson

Mr Sanderson joined GMP FirstEnergy in September 2000 and became Managing Director in 2009. Based in the firm’s Calgary office for 10 years, he moved to London to launch and guide FirstEnergy’s successful London platform.  In his sixteen year tenure as an Investment Banker with FirstEnergy, he has worked on over 200 financings with companies listed on both the TSX and LSE. He has participated in over 100 M&A energy assignments around the globe. Mr Sanderson’s educational credentials include a Masters of Business Administration (Finance and International Business) from Dalhousie University, a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from McGill University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Mr Sanderson has supported a variety of charities in Canada and the UK and is currently Treasurer and a Board Member of United Way UK.  Hugh is proud to hold both Canadian and UK citizenship.
